My first official post
Saturday, January 10, 2009

I woke up and wondered why the room was brightly lit. For a moment I thought that I was late for school! Then I remembered that it was a Saturday. Finally the weekends have arrived.

I jumped out of bed and did my normal things, bathing, cleaned my room, had breakfast and stuff like that. The first thing that came to my mind on what to do was to start playing my 'PSP', a kind of electronic game. Then it came to my mind that I had homework to do. I do not want to 'snowball' all my work till the last minute and mindlessly complete my homework. So I started to complete one of my tasks given to me. It took me just 30 minutes to complete it.

After a delicious lunch of spaghetti and some television, My family and I got dressed to go out for a little shopping. I decide that I would spend some of my edusave bursary money on a few comic books so we decide to head for Wheelock Place, where there is a bookshop.

Getting a car park was not so easy. There were a lot of people waiting for a car park and so few were exiting, and some were sleeping in their cars. Eventually we managed to find a spot. Like the car park, the bookshop was just as crowded, mostly with teenagers. Me and my family went our separate ways, trying to locate our own books. I directly went in search for my comic books. The comic books section had only two shelves, but I still had high hopes for locating my books. I searched high and low for it, only to find one that I was looking for, and it was not in a good condition. So I came out empty handed while the rest of my family members found what they were looking for. Still I had one more thing to look forward to, dinner with my cousin and his wife.

We chose to eat at 'Lau Pa Sat' a hawker centre where the satay is fantastic. We met around seven thirty . We did not have hard time ordering the food as we came there just for the satay, and a few other side dishes as well. I had chicken satay and a bandung drink. We ate ad talked till about eight thirty. Then we went our separate ways.

Even though it was not the best start to the weekend, I enjoyed it as much as any other weekend as I get to spend it with my family.
